The bilingual monograph BEKAR: Prélude follows the creative odyssey of the influential art director Dušan Bekar, a member of the developmental line of Croatian graphic design in the second half of the twentieth century, whose work emerge from the foundations of international Modernism and was affiliated with the EXAT 51 circle. Bekar's extensive work, barely scratched by this publication, is presented through 250 selected works on 160 pages. The authors of the texts are Ksenija Foretić, Marko Golub, Alira Hrabar Bekar and Irma Puškarević, who approach the phenomenon of Dušan Bekar from different angles — far better known for his legendary design solutions than by his name. Monograph was published in 2024 by the Croatian Designers Association (HDD).
